Stay if you work alone at its $30 Affiliate Solo rate, run a team of two or three, or need its QuickBooks Online integration: at those sizes Pet Sitter Plus costs less or has something we do not.

Pet Sitter Plus cost by team size
Pet Sitter Plus has a Solo plan for one person and a Team plan for 2 to 25 staff that charges a base fee plus a fee for each active staff member. Its pricing page shows two sets of rates, Standard and Affiliate, so the table shows both. Its page defines an active staff member as anyone who appears in your schedule in the 30 days before renewal. Checked October 21, 2026, per petsitterplus.com/pricing. Formula: Pet Sitter Plus Team = base fee + per-staff fee x active staff. Standard is $28 + $14 x staff. Affiliate is $24 + $13 x staff. Solo is a single price for one person. Porchlight Solo is $35 for the owner only, and Porchlight Team is $79 for any number of staff. The numbers match the team price calculator on their page. Above 25 people their page says pricing is capped at 25 users and extra staff have no per-user fee, but it lists no price there, so we show none. These are list rates. Their page also advertises a discount of up to 50% for the first 12 months, which the table does not include.
Over a year, ten people on Pet Sitter Plus come to $2,016 at Standard rates or $1,848 at Affiliate rates. Porchlight Team is $790 on the annual plan or $948 paid monthly. Porchlight Team costs less than Pet Sitter Plus from 4 people at Standard rates and from 5 people at Affiliate rates.
When Pet Sitter Plus is the better fit
It is a solid tool, and for some businesses it is the right call.
Solo sitters at $30
Its Affiliate Solo rate is $30 a month, which is less than Porchlight Solo at $35. Its Standard Solo rate is $36, a dollar more than ours. If you work alone, the difference is small either way.
Teams of two or three
Two people cost $56 a month at Standard rates and $50 at Affiliate rates, and three cost $70 or $63. Porchlight Team is $79, so at that size Pet Sitter Plus is the cheaper bill.
QuickBooks Online
Its pricing page lists a QuickBooks Online integration and a Stripe integration. Porchlight does not sync with QuickBooks. It calculates sitter pay and exports a CSV you can bring into QuickBooks or Gusto. If a live connection matters to your books, that is a real reason to stay.
An established tool with hands-on onboarding
Pet Sitter Plus says it has been around since 2009. Its page lists free one-to-one onboarding and coaching, free data import when you come from another tool, no contract and a rolling monthly subscription.
Seasonal teams
Pet Sitter Plus only charges staff who were on your schedule in the 30 days before renewal. If most of your staff sit out part of the year, your real bill can run below the headcount in the table.

Team is $79 a month, or $790 a year, for unlimited staff. Hiring a sitter does not change the bill. Solo is $35 a month, or $350 a year, for the owner only. Unlimited clients and pets on both.
A full visit with no signal
The sitter app is an installable web app, not a native app from an app store. Check in and out, the checklist, photos, notes and the access-code reveal all work with no signal and sync later.
GPS on every report card
Visit report cards show GPS check-in and check-out and the walk route, so clients see where the visit happened.
Invoicing on your schedule
Bill weekly, every two weeks, twice a month, monthly or per trip.
Payroll calculated, not run
Porchlight calculates sitter pay from completed visits and exports a CSV for QuickBooks or Gusto. It does not run payroll for you.
The admin side works on a phone
Every admin action works on a phone. Boarding and daycare are included in both plans, and you can export every table as CSV or JSON.

Export your clients and pets from Pet Sitter Plus as a CSV, then bring the file into the Switch Kit. You map your Pet Sitter Plus columns to Porchlight fields, then run a dry run that shows what will be created before anything is saved. The import dedupes records, and if the result is not what you wanted you can roll the whole import back. How long it takes depends on how much data you have.

Is Porchlight cheaper than Pet Sitter Plus?
For four or more people at Standard rates, and five or more at Affiliate rates. At ten people Pet Sitter Plus is $168 (Standard) or $154 (Affiliate) a month against $79. For one to three people, Pet Sitter Plus is the lower bill, apart from Standard Solo at $36 against our $35.
Can I move my clients and pets from Pet Sitter Plus?
Yes. The Switch Kit imports a Pet Sitter Plus CSV export. You map the columns, run a dry run that shows what will be created before anything is saved, let it dedupe, and roll the import back if you need to. How long it takes depends on how much data you have.
Does Porchlight run payroll or connect to QuickBooks?
No to both. Porchlight calculates sitter pay and exports a CSV for QuickBooks or Gusto, and you run payroll in your payroll tool. It does not sync with QuickBooks.
