Best Pet Sitting Software 2026: 10 Tools, Real Prices

Porchlight, our own pick (we make it), is a flat $79 for unlimited staff. Boarding or daycare facility: Gingr likely fits better than any tool here, including ours.

Disclosure

Porchlight, by Hive Asset Group, LLC, is operations software for pet sitting and dog walking companies: scheduling, visit report cards with photos and GPS, invoicing, payroll calculation with a CSV export, a client portal and an offline sitter app. We make Porchlight. We put it in the list and tell you when something else fits better. Porchlight is newer than most tools here, and we say so in its section. Where a rival wins, we say that too.

What it costs at 1, 5, 10 and 20 staff

Monthly price, billed month to month, in US dollars. “Staff” means everyone billed, including the owner, so “5” is the owner plus four sitters. Per-staff tools usually bill only people who are scheduled in the period, so your real number can be lower. Porchlight’s flat Solo and Team prices are on the pricing page.

How we did the math

  • Time To Pet: Team is $40 plus $16 per active staff member. Admins always count. Solo is $50 for one person.
  • Pet Sitter Plus: Team is $24 plus $13 per active staff member on Affiliate rates, or $28 plus $14 on Standard, for 2 to 25 staff. The low end of each range is Affiliate and the high end is Standard, per its pricing page, checked 2026-10-23.
  • Scout: we do not quote Scout prices here. Read its own pricing page before you compare.
  • Easy Busy Pets: $250 plus $13 per active staff member. Its own page is not consistent about whether the first user is included, so we show a range. Its examples put a 5-person team at about $315 and a 20-person team at about $510.
  • Precise Petcare: stepped tiers by staff count. Solo $20, 2 to 5 $45, 6 to 10 $90, 11 to 20 $160. Paying annually takes 5% off.
  • PetPocketbook: one flat price. Pet parents pay a 5% service fee on payments made through the platform by default. Cash and check payments carry no fee.
  • Revelation Pets: Silver is $60 a month and Gold is $77. The public page does not say what separates them or whether either has a staff limit.
  • Gingr: Spa $100, Play $142 and Stay $154 a month on annual billing, and monthly billing costs more. Employee scheduling and two-way texting are add-ons.
  • Porchlight: Solo is $35 for the owner only. Team is $79 for unlimited staff.

The tools

1. Porchlight

What it is: Operations software for pet sitting, dog walking, daycare and boarding companies. Scheduling, report cards, GPS, invoicing and payroll calculation in one place.

Price (as of October 2026): Solo $35 a month for the owner only. Team $79 a month for unlimited staff. No per-seat charges and no feature paywalls on core features. 30-day free trial, no card. Source.

More: Scheduling with recurring visits, report cards with photos, GPS check-in and check-out with the walk route, an offline sitter app that syncs later, invoicing, payroll calculation with a CSV export for Gusto (it does not run payroll), a client portal, happiness surveys and review requests, boarding and daycare, and a notification delivery log with retries. The Switch Kit imports from Time To Pet, Precise Petcare, Pet Sitter Plus and LeashTime.

Best for: Teams of 5 or more who are tired of the bill going up with each hire, and sitters who work where signal is bad.

Watch out for: Porchlight is newer than most tools here, and it has gaps today. There is no native app store app (the sitter and admin apps install from the browser). There is no client texting yet. There is no QuickBooks sync, only a CSV export. If any of those is a must-have, pick another tool for now.

Moving in from another tool? See the Switch Kit or the dog daycare software feature page.

2. Time To Pet

What it is: A sitter platform with a staff app and a client app.

Price (as of October 2026): Lite $25, Solo $50, Team $40 plus $16 per active staff member (admins always count), custom pricing over 25 staff, 14-day free trial. A separate Facility plan is $79 a month. Checked 2026-10-23. Source.

Best for: Solo sitters and small teams who want a widely used tool and are fine paying for it.

Watch out for: The per-staff fee compounds. At 10 staff the monthly bill is $200, and at 20 it is $360. Admins and office managers count as active whether or not they are scheduled.

Our side-by-side: Time To Pet vs Porchlight

3. Precise Petcare

What it is: Pet care software priced by staff-count tier, with GPS tracking, live sitter mapping and late arrival alerts.

Price (as of October 2026): Solo $20, 2 to 5 staff $45, 6 to 10 $90, 11 to 20 $160, 21 to 30 $200, 31 to 50 $250, 51 to 100 $315, 101 or more $390. No contracts, 5% off if paid annually, free trial. Checked 2026-10-23. Source.

Best for: Solo sitters and small teams who want the lowest sticker price from a purpose-built tool.

Watch out for: Tiers mean the bill jumps when you cross a line, for example from $45 at five staff to $90 at six.

Our side-by-side: Precise Petcare alternative

4. Pet Sitter Plus

What it is: A scheduling and billing tool for sitters, with GPS check-in, a client portal and online payments.

Price (as of October 2026): Solo $30 on Affiliate rates ($36 on Standard). Team $24 plus $13 per active staff member on Affiliate rates, or $28 plus $14 on Standard, for 2 to 25 staff. 30-day free trial, no card. Staff who are not scheduled in the 30 days before renewal are not charged. Checked 2026-10-23. Source.

More: Weighing a move? See our Pet Sitter Plus alternative page for a cost table by team size.

Best for: Small teams that want online payments built in and a lower per-sitter fee than Time To Pet.

Watch out for: Per-staff billing still adds up: $24 + $13 per active staff on Affiliate rates ($154 at 10 people) or $28 + $14 on Standard ($168 at 10), per Pet Sitter Plus’s pricing page, checked 2026-10-23. A standard card processing fee applies to online payments.

5. LeashTime

What it is: A scheduling tool for sitters and walkers, sold in feature tiers.

Price (as of October 2026): Not verified. LeashTime’s own site would not load for us on October 16, 2026, so we could not read its pricing page and we are not putting a number in the table. Check leashtime.com directly before you decide. Source.

More: LeashTime is one of the four systems the Porchlight Switch Kit imports from.

Best for: Owners who want a feature-tiered plan and have time to compare tiers.

Watch out for: Confirm the real monthly number for your team size before you start a trial.

Our side-by-side: LeashTime alternative

6. Scout

What it is: Scheduling, invoicing and client management for dog walkers and sitters, with unlimited clients and invoices on each plan.

Price (as of October 2026): Not shown here. We do not quote Scout prices. Read its pricing page directly and count your own staff. Source.

Best for: Solo walkers and small teams who may want a branded app down the road.

Watch out for: Check how the bill grows with each hire before you start a trial.

Our side-by-side: Scout alternative

7. Easy Busy Pets

What it is: An all-in-one that bundles a website, scheduling, payments, CRM, email and marketing tools.

Price (as of October 2026): One plan at $250 a month plus $13 per active staff member, month to month, with all features included. Includes two-way texting with credits (1,000 plus 250 per staff member). We did not see a free trial mentioned. Source.

Best for: Established multi-staff companies that want their website, booking and marketing in one system and will pay for it.

Watch out for: The base price is the highest here, so it makes little sense for a solo sitter or a 2 to 3 person team. Its own page says it is not ideal for a solo operator.

Our side-by-side: Easy Busy Pets alternative

8. PetPocketbook

What it is: A flat-price tool for walking, sitting, overnights, daycare, training and grooming, with scheduling, report cards, invoicing and a pet parent portal.

Price (as of October 2026): One plan: $25 a month, or $23.75 a month billed yearly. 30-day free trial that starts after an onboarding session. Pet parents pay a 5% service fee on payments made through the platform. Cash and check payments have no fee. Checked 2026-10-23. Source.

Best for: Owners who want the lowest, simplest price, including teams of any size.

Watch out for: We did not find an offline mode or a notification delivery record listed on its pricing page.

Our side-by-side: PetPocketbook alternative

9. Revelation Pets

What it is: Scheduling and booking software for sitting, boarding, daycare and kennels.

Price (as of October 2026): Silver $60 a month ($605 a year), Gold $77 a month ($770 a year). Free trial. Multi-location businesses are told to contact the company. The page does not list what separates Silver from Gold or any staff limit. Source.

Best for: Small to mid-size sitters and daycare operators who want a straightforward booking tool with a public price.

Watch out for: Ask the company what separates Silver from Gold and whether either has a staff limit before you commit.

Our side-by-side: Revelation Pets alternative

10. Gingr (our pick for boarding and kennel facilities)

What it is: Facility software for boarding, daycare, grooming and training businesses, with a front-desk workflow, integrated payments, marketing tools and a mobile app.

Price (as of October 2026): On annual billing: Spa $100, Play $142, Stay $154 a month ($179 without integrated payments). Enterprise is custom. Add-ons include employee scheduling and two-way texting. We did not see a free trial on the page, only a demo. Source.

Best for: Boarding kennels, daycare buildings and multi-service facilities. If you run a building with runs, check-in lines and retail, Gingr is likely a better fit than Porchlight or any in-home sitter tool.

Watch out for: It costs more than the sitter tools and is built for a facility, so it is more than a solo walker needs.

How we compared

  • Prices: read from each company’s own pricing page in October 2026 and linked above. If a price is not public, we say so. We do not use third-party price listings.
  • Staff math: we use the published formula for each tool and count the owner in the staff total. Real bills depend on who is scheduled, so treat the table as a close estimate.
  • Fit: “best for” reflects the price shape and what each company says its tool does. We have not run a feature-by-feature test of every tool.
  • Our bias: we make Porchlight, so its gaps are in its section and its price sits in the same table as everyone else’s. If we got something about your tool wrong, tell us and we will fix the page.

Questions we get

What is the best pet sitting software?

It depends on your size. Solo sitters can do well on a low-cost tool like Precise Petcare or PetPocketbook. Teams should compare the bill at their real headcount, because per-sitter fees change the answer. Facilities with kennels should look at Gingr.

How much does pet sitting software cost?

For a solo sitter, $20 to $50 a month on the plans above. For a team of 10, from $25 flat to $380 a month, depending on the tool, as the table shows.

Is there free pet sitting software?

We did not find a permanently free plan on any official pricing page we read. Most tools offer a free trial, from 14 to 30 days, and a few show only a demo. Check the trial terms in each section.

Do I need software with a native app?

Not always. Most sitters mainly need a sitter app that works in the field. Porchlight’s sitter app installs from the browser and works offline. If you want an app store listing, check the tool’s own site, because Porchlight does not have one.

Can I switch software without losing my data?

Usually yes, with some manual work. The Porchlight Switch Kit imports from Time To Pet, Precise Petcare, Pet Sitter Plus and LeashTime, with a dry run and rollback. For other tools, ask about import options before you cancel anything.

What is the cheapest pet sitting software for a team of 10?

Of the tools whose prices we re-read on 2026-10-23, PetPocketbook is lowest at $25 a month flat, and pet parents pay a 5% fee on payments made through it (https://www.petpocketbook.com/pricing). Porchlight is $79 a month for unlimited staff (https://porchlight.pet/pricing). Precise Petcare is $90 for 6 to 10 staff (https://www.precisepetcare.com/pricing). Pet Sitter Plus is $154 on Affiliate rates or $168 on Standard for 10 people (https://www.petsitterplus.com/pricing). Time To Pet is $200 (https://timetopet.com/pricing). Cheapest is not the same as best fit, so check features too. Porchlight’s plans are on the pricing page.

Which pet sitting software works offline?

Porchlight’s sitter app lets staff check in, write a report, add photos and finish a visit with no signal, then syncs when the phone is back online (https://porchlight.pet/features/offline-field-app, checked 2026-10-23). It installs from the browser and is not a native app. We have not tested offline mode in other tools. Before you buy any tool, ask the vendor to show a visit finished in airplane mode.

Do per-staff plans charge for the owner and managers?

It depends on the tool. Time To Pet always counts office managers and administrators as active staff (https://timetopet.com/pricing, checked 2026-10-23). Pet Sitter Plus counts anyone who appears in your schedule in the 30 days before renewal (https://www.petsitterplus.com/pricing, checked 2026-10-23). Precise Petcare tells you to count yourself, managers and active sitters when you pick a tier (https://www.precisepetcare.com/pricing, checked 2026-10-23). Porchlight Team is flat for unlimited staff (https://porchlight.pet/pricing, checked 2026-10-23).

Does pet sitting software sync with QuickBooks?

Some tools do. Time To Pet and Pet Sitter Plus each list a QuickBooks Online integration on their pricing pages (https://timetopet.com/pricing and https://www.petsitterplus.com/pricing, checked 2026-10-23). Porchlight does not sync with QuickBooks today. It has a payroll CSV export. If live sync is a must-have, pick a tool that has it now.

Which software is best for a dog walking business?

Look for GPS check-in, walk routes and a sitter app that works with poor signal. We cover how to test those in Best Dog Walking Software. For the full cost breakdown, read the pricing comparison.

For the dog walking angle, read our dog walking software guide with seven trial tests. For the full cost breakdown, read the pet sitting software pricing comparison.
