The per-year column is our math: annual price x 12. Gingr’s page says all plans include a mobile app, integrated payments, marketing tools, automated notifications, retail management, staff tools, business analytics, a customer portal, Gingr PreCheck and live support. Stay is marked “Most Popular.”

Gingr add-ons that change the real bill

Gingr’s page lists these as paid extras:

  • Integrated Payment Processing
  • Employee Scheduling
  • 2-Way SMS
  • Messaging Bundle (SMS plus pictures, video, campaigns and auto-replies)

The page gives no dollar price for any add-on. It also lists no free trial, setup fee or contract length that we could read. Plan on asking Gingr for a written quote that includes the add-ons you need. The one price effect we can see: Stay costs $30 more a month billed monthly ($209 against $179) when you do not use Integrated Payments.

Gingr prices by plan and facility, not by staff headcount, as far as the page says. A bigger team does not move the plan price. Add-ons might.

What it costs for a team of 3, 8 and 15

This compares the plan price only. Add-ons are not included because Gingr does not list them. Porchlight prices are from porchlight.pet/pricing: Solo $35 a month or $350 a year (owner only), Team $79 a month or $790 a year (unlimited staff).

Gingr Stay and Porchlight Team cost for 3, 8 and 15 people

3$154 a month, $1,848 a year$179 a month, $2,148 a year$79 a month, $948 a year$790 a year
8$154 a month, $1,848 a year$179 a month, $2,148 a year$79 a month, $948 a year$790 a year
15$154 a month, $1,848 a year$179 a month, $2,148 a year$79 a month, $948 a year$790 a year

If you only need Spa, it is $1,200 a year billed annually, or $1,308 billed monthly. Against Porchlight Team’s $790 a year, the plan gap is $410 a year before any add-ons. Both prices stay put as your headcount grows. The question is which one has the tools you work with, not who is cheaper.

Porchlight prices are on the pet sitting software pricing page. Plans differ in what they include, so compare features, not only price.

Where Gingr fits better

Gingr is built for facilities. It is the better fit if you:

  • Run a kennel or boarding facility with rooms, runs and extended stays. Stay lists kennel room management, extended stay management and medication tracking.
  • Run a doggy daycare with full-day reservations and capacity limits. Play lists day reservations and capacity management.
  • Run a grooming shop. Spa lists groomer-to-breed assignment.
  • Have more than one location. Gingr has an Enterprise plan with centralized control and dedicated support.

Porchlight is built for pet sitting and dog walking businesses where sitters go to the client’s home or walk from their own phones. It includes boarding and daycare, but it is not a kennel management system. If you run a facility, start with Gingr.
